If someone reposts your work, do not go to Tumblr support. They will not help you.

Someone, yet again had reposted one of my gifs, so instead of messaging said user with the possibility of being ignored or receiving a bullshit answer, I went straight to tumblr support. I have emailed them in the past about reposted gifs and they had no problem deleting the reposted work for me.

I don’t know if something has changed with tumblr but they decided to not only delete the repost but to also delete my original gif.

Yeah, my gif is gone and every reblogged post from that gif is gone. I have no way of getting it back.

So naturally, I was furious and I responded back.

If tumblr no longer supports users who make things for their website, then what are they here for? People are tired of having to message other users every time their work gets uncredited but hell, it beats getting your own work deleted.

Please, please reblog this so other people can know and do not go to them expecting help. No one deserves this.
